This notice explains what we do with personal information you give us. It is written for the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who is responsible

What we collect
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, organisation if you give one, the type of enquiry (school, community, NGO, partner, or other), email address, phone or WhatsApp number if you give one, your message, and whether you agreed we may reply — and, only if you tick it, whether we may email you about news or programmes.
We do not run analytics on this site. The company that hosts the website may keep basic server logs, such as an IP address and browser type, so the site stays up and secure. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to reply to schools, community groups, NGOs, households, and partners, and to operate this website. We only send news or programme emails if you separately agree. You can ask us to stop those emails at any time.
Why we are allowed to
We need your details to answer the message you sent. That is the reason we ask for them. Marketing emails are separate: we send them only if you tick the news box yourself. We do not pre-tick that box.
Who we share it with
The form sends your message to our website, which stores it and emails it to us. We read the message in our inbox. We may use a hosting provider and an email provider to run the site and receive mail. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass your details to advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it to handle your request and to keep a basic record of what was agreed. After that we delete it or archive it securely.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the inbox is limited to the people who need it to reply.
Information outside South Africa
Hosting or email tools may store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we use reputable providers and only what we need to run the site and answer you.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@plastigrow.co.za. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
